Spanning 10 focus sectors, the exhibition saw participation from 7 state departments across 48,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space, supported by 2 lakh sq. ft. of covered-hanger infrastructure and 4 lakh sq. ft. of venue branding and custom installations.

2015
The inaugural Bengal Global Business Summit brought together 20 participating countries, 40+ speakers and 1,200+ business delegates for a global platform focused on investment, entrepreneurship and emerging opportunities. The summit featured plenary sessions on start-ups and entrepreneurship, international and multi-country interactions, sector-focused sessions and dedicated country sessions. Roundtable discussions explored Bengal’s growing role in emerging Asia, alongside conversations around the apparel and allied sectors.
2016
The 2016 edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit brought together 26 participating countries, 45+ speakers and 1,500+ business delegates, building on the summit’s growing global platform. The event brought together business and government leaders for conversations, collaborations and opportunities focused on strengthening Bengal’s position as a destination for global business and investment.
2017
The 2017 edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit continued its growth as a global platform for business, investment and collaboration, bringing together 29 participating countries, 50+ speakers and 2,000+ business delegates. Built around the theme “Come to Bengal, Ride the Growth,” the summit created a dynamic environment for industry leaders, investors and policymakers to connect, exchange ideas and explore opportunities across Bengal’s growing business landscape.
2018
The 2018 summit brought together 32 participating countries, including 8 partner countries, with 18 sessions, including 11 parallel sectoral sessions. The programme featured plenary sessions on start-ups and entrepreneurship, international multi-country interactions, focus-sector and country sessions, and roundtable discussions on Bengal’s rise in emerging Asia, alongside the apparel and allied sectors.

The 2019 edition brought together 36 participating countries and facilitated 1,200 business-to-business meetings, creating a strong platform for global investment and collaboration. The summit generated investment intentions worth ₹2.84 trillion, reinforcing Bengal’s growing position as a destination for business and investment.
A landmark film festival bringing together cinema, culture and some of India's biggest names in entertainment
The 22nd Kolkata International Film Festival was held in November 2016, attracting 20,000 attendees and bringing together leading filmmakers, artists and Bollywood personalities. The festival featured Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Parineeti Chopra, and was organised by the West Bengal Film Centre under the state government.

The AMRUT 2.0 Pavilion at the Indian Urban Conclave 2022 showcased the mission’s vision for strengthening water infrastructure and building resilient Indian cities. Across three government pavilions, the experience highlighted initiatives spanning water supply, sewerage and urban transformation, creating an engaging walkthrough that helped visitors understand the programme’s scale and impact.

Through interactive displays, case studies and visual storytelling, the pavilion highlighted smart infrastructure, digital governance and urban innovation, creating an immersive experience that demonstrated how the mission is reshaping India’s urban landscape.
Rajkot, Gujarat | Indian Urban Conclave
The Urban Mobility Pavilion showcased the evolution of transport infrastructure and sustainable mobility across Indian cities. Through immersive graphics, models and multimedia, the pavilion highlighted BRTS, metro systems and integrated public transport, offering visitors a clear perspective on the future of connected, infrastructure-driven urban mobility.
